Yamaha is looking for a Systems Engineering Specialist to join our Marine Division! This is a great opportunity for an individual to work on a variety of “Intelligent” Product Planning/Engineering development.  Research and assist in the development of advanced boat control systems such as integrated boat information and operating technologies.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Research market status, trends of a technical performance and business marketing initiatives.  Prepare market research surveys and questionnaires.
  • Work closely with the Japan headquarters and Yamaha Test Facility Product Planning and Engineering groups in refining new boat control technologies.
  • Formulate new product concept reports, information, proposals and presentations for discussion with management.
  • Provide technical support for sales, marketing, application engineers, service, training and purchasing.  Help plan introductions to market.
  • Stay current on new technologies and contact with groups such as ABYC, NMMA and SAE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Four year Electrical Engineering degree
  • Marine industry experience and product knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter, manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong computer, analytical and presentations skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Approximately 15% travel required.
