FlexBond 5000

Posted on

MAS Products has introduced FlexBond 5000, a strong polyurethane adhesive and sealer that sets to the touch in 20 to 40 minutes, according to the company. It also achieves 70 percent of its bond strength in two hours, allowing boats to be put back in the water on the day of the repair.

For use above and below the waterline, FlexBond 5000 will bond, caulk, bed or seal with metallic, fiberglass and wood surfaces. It can be applied by hand or with a pneumatic caulking gun. The material can be painted and sanded and is stable in temperatures from -40 F to 212 F. It is also UV-stable. The product is highly resistant to water, cleaning agents, weak acids and alkalis.

With a processing temperature from 41 F to 104 F, FlexBond 5000 is also suitable in thermal processes, such as powder coating. The non-toxic FlexBond 5000 is odorless and free of solvents, plasticizers and silicone, according to the company. Contact: (856) 303-9245, www.masepoxies.com.
