Walker Engineering of Sun Valley, Calif., has designed high-performance air filtration and crankcase ventilation systems for marine diesel engines for 25 years.
Its products help engines function well. Now the company wants to help make some engines look good. Its handcrafted, stainless-steel components are designed for Volvo Penta IPS D4 and D6 engines. Three packages allow consumers to customize their Volvo IPS engines, which are found in vessels from Tiara, Cruisers, Regal and other brands. The Performance package ($199.95) includes a high-gloss black metal air filter cover and a high-performance, high-flow air filter; the Captain’s Package ($799.99) includes the performance air filter, a polished stainless air filter cover, a polished breather cap, two polished oil filter covers, a fuel filter accent cover and a three-piece top accent kit; the Admiral’s Package ($995) has all the polished components of the Captain’s Package, but instead of the top accent kit, it comes with a polished engine cowling.
