New Zealand-based Tallon Marine, the manufacturer of the integrated accessory system called the Tallon System, has been selected for the NZTE U.S. Beachheads program.
The Tallon System lets boaters quickly and effortlessly install and swap out commonly used marine accessories to accommodate their changing needs and personalize their boats.
NZTE is the government’s national economic development agency. Based on a well-established international business network, the Beachheads program provides high-growth potential companies with faster access to top executives who are willing to share their contacts, experience and expertise to accelerate growth in key export markets.
Tallon Marine’s U.S. Beachheads mentor is Rick Thomas, founder of Nautical Structures, a leading manufacturer of high-end yachting equipment. Thomas works directly with more than 200 U.S. and international production and custom yacht builders.
“The accolades and awards Tallon Marine has already received in the U.S. are a testament to their growth potential,” Thomas said in a statement. “I look forward to helping them develop the crucial business relationships and manufacturing partnerships they need to further develop their U.S. market.”
Tallon Marine launched its U.S. online retail store in May and has a Georgia-based warehouse to support its expanding distribution network. In parallel with its OEM strategy, the company is developing a nationwide network of aftermarket retailers, using an agent structure or regional distributors.
