Unified Marine, the Newport, Tenn.-based manufacturer of SeaSense marine and trailer accessories, added two people to its sales team. Greg Rentfro was appointed sales director for the OEM and distribution segments. He will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for boat and trailer manufacturers, as well as aftermarket distribution.

Rentfro has more than 20 years leadership experience across sales, marketing and product development in the marine industry, working with distribution and manufacturing companies. He most recently served as the marine aftermarket development manager for Webasto Product North America.

Tom Brewington was appointed sales manager for Unified Marine. Brewington worked for Unified Marine from 1995 to 2002 in various management positions. He brings more than 25 years of management experience involving marine trade accounts and retail chain headquarter accounts, as well as hiring and managing company sales and service managers and representatives.

Navimo, a European leader in boating equipment, appointed Christopher J. Lang as CEO of Navimo USA, effective July 8.

Lang, 52, has 20 years experience in the deck equipment products industry, holding successive marketing and sales positions with Simpson Lawrence Engineering and Lewmar. More recently, he was the sales director of Maxwell Marine Ltd.

Located in Sarasota, Fla., the Navimo USA operation is a fully owned subsidiary of the Navimo Group and targets the boatbuilding and retail segments.

Because the United States is such a large market for recreational boating, it is only natural that Navimo reinforce its position there and build for long term success, said Jean-Marie Paepegaey, president of the Navimo Group, in a statement.
