Honda True warranty now a standard offering

Honda Marine says its True 5-year, factory-backed, non-declining limited warranty is now a standard feature for all Honda outboards (2-225 hp) purchased on or after July 1, 2008, for recreational use.

True 5 offers full Honda backing and the program no longer requires a dealer participation charge. Coverage under the program is the same on the last day as it is on the first.

“With five consecutive recognitions from the NMMA for outstanding customer service, offering True 5 as a standard feature of our full range of reliable, fuel-efficient outboards affords Honda Marine customers an unparalleled level of award-winning dealer support,” said John Fulcher, senior manager of Honda Marine, in a statement.

With models ranging from 2- to 225-horsepower, Honda Marine’s full line of current production models meets California Air Resources Board (CARB) 3-Star standards, ensuring their availability and regulatory compliance in all 50 states.
