Glastron has three models on "Best Buy" list

The August 2008 issue of Consumers Digest magazine has recognized three models from Glastron as “Best Buys in Powerboats.”

On average, a Consumers Digest Best Buy rating is awarded to fewer than 3 percent of the competing models in any given product category. In the runabout category, six Best Buy certificates were awarded this year and Glastron received three of those.

Trailerable-sized fiberglass boats have long been Glastron’s specialty. In 2000, the company introduced a manufacturing process called VEC technology, which uses a highly-automated, closed-mold fiberglass lamination process.

“VEC technology results in a boat that has fewer weight and size variations, seamless construction, plus there aren’t separate pieces and parts that can shake or vibrate free,” Consumers Digest said.
