Skeeter Products of Kilgore, Texas, is introducing Skeeter University, a series of dealer training sessions with an emphasis on marketing, sales, product and business operations.
“Skeeter has a large lineup of boats, with a broad offering of models, and we want our dealers to have firsthand knowledge of our products, sales and marketing programs available to them,” said Skeeter’s national sales manager Ben Jarrett in a statement.
Skeeter’s 2009 lineup includes 26 models, featuring 11 bass boats, four fish and skis, five Deep V models and six saltwater bay boats. Skeeter is introducing four new models for 2009, including its WX1950, WX2000T, SL1900 and ZX2250 Bay Boat, in addition to making upgrades to its lineup.
According to Trey White, Skeeter’s director of marketing, the company wanted to ensure strong participation, thus the reasoning behind hosting five regional meetings.
“We established Skeeter University as an easy way for our dealers to become involved, and during these challenging times, Skeeter wants to support our dealers, and help to strengthen sales at the retail level,” White said in a statement.
