Recent enhancements to the Discover Boating Lead System should make it more convenient for contributing members to retrieve leads, according to the latest Grow Boating newsletter.
The Discover Boating Lead System was originally designed with a four-hour limitation on how often members could retrieve leads through the remote lead export functionality. This limitation was put into place to ensure the system was able to maintain consistent performance and equal access to all members.
Because of advances in hardware and software capabilities, as well as recent updates to the DBLS, this limitation has been removed. Contributing members can now retrieve leads at their convenience.
Some leads have also been received without e-mail addresses. On DiscoverBoating.com, consumers are required to include their e-mail address in order for the lead to be processed. However, in addition to the site, 19 million business reply cards were inserted into 14 national consumer publications. Consumers filled in their personal information to receive a DVD, but some opted not to include their e-mail address. On future print runs, Grow Boating will add the phrase "E-mail address required to process order" to encourage all respondents to include their e-mail address.
