Imtra, ABYC sponsor Westlawn grants

Imtra Marine Lighting, in conjunction with matching funds from the American Boat and Yacht Council, is sponsoring a grant program for new students enrolling in the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology’s entry-level courses.

Upon enrollment in specific courses, each new student will be awarded $200. The limited grants are available to all, but only until the money is allotted.

“Even in the current economic climate, Westlawn consistently has more positions on its job boards than we have advanced students and graduates to fill,” said Westlawn director Dave Gerr in a statement. “The boating industry needs more students in the program to meet demand.”
