The foundation also announced more than $50,000 in new grants to 19 groups for its 2008 Clean Water Grant program.
The Cornell Cooperative Extension will receive an additional $1,000 to use toward last year’s grant project, which created posters encouraging boaters to stow trash and prevent marine debris.
The Clean Water Grant Excellence Award is bestowed on the group that completes the year’s most innovative, resourceful and effective Clean Water Grant project.
