The third edition of America's Boating Course will be available Oct. 31.
Offered by the U.S. Power Squadrons, the course is a convenient way for boaters to obtain their boating certificate. It is certified by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by the Coast Guard.
"The course has been extensively revised and rewritten to address new technological developments and meet updated state licensing requirements," said Richard Kyle, national education officer of the U.S. Power Squadrons, in a statement.
Also, a new Introduction to Navigation chapter was added and includes Basic Piloting Skills, How GPS Works, and Basic Concepts in Coastal and Inland Navigation. The course can be completed on the Internet, on CD, or in the classroom.
