West Marine extends agreement with solar company

West Marine has extended its supply agreement with ICP Solar Technologies, a manufacturer of solar panels and related products.

The marine retailer reported strong demand for ICP’s Sunei solar chargers, with year-to-date sales up about 14 percent.

"Our Sunsei marine chargers are uniquely designed to withstand the elements in any kind of weather, and we expect to sell over $1 million through West Marine's expansive network in 2009,” said Sass Peress, chairman and CEO of ICP Solar, in a statement.
