Morris Yachts reports strong fall sales

Morris Yachts is reporting strong new-boat sales for September and October.

The Bass Harbor, Maine, builder closed on three M36 sailboats and one M42, according to information on the company Web site. Also, contracts were signed and deposits taken for an Ocean Series Morris 38 and Morris 42.

The company says interest has been strong for the new M29, with hull No. 1 scheduled to launch in February.

Morris officials could not be reached for comment.
