Fire damages boatyard in Maine

A weekend blaze at Great Island Boatyard in Harpswell, Maine, destroyed a building, but no boats were damaged.

About 50 firefighters from six departments responded to the call, according to a report in The Times Record.

Owner Stephen Rowe said none of the 200 boats stored at the boatyard were damaged, although the building that burned — a mechanical shop and the main office — was full of tools and equipment.
