Sail hands out Best Boat Awards

Sail magazine recognized innovation in new sailboats this week with its 2009 Best Boats Awards.

The awards are given in the following categories: Flagship (greater than 50 feet), Cruising Monohull, Cruising Multihull, Performance Boat, Small Boat (less than 25 feet), Accommodations, Systems, and Deck and Cockpit design.

Judges examined the sailboats debuting at the Newport and Annapolis boat shows this fall, and winners will be featured in the December issue of Sail.
