Caterpillar sales decline in November

Sales of Caterpillar marine engines were down 35 percent in November compared to the same month last year, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

For the three-month rolling period of September through November, marine sales were down in all three months. An 8 percent drop was reported for September and a 25 percent decline was reported for October.

Caterpillar reported sales were down in every segment, including truck and bus, industrial and electric power, for all three months.
