Employers sought for Landing School job fair

The Landing School, in Arundel, Maine, is inviting representatives from boat shops and yards to meet the school's graduating class of 2010 at its annual job fair, which will be held April 2.

Marine employers will have direct access to more than 80 students who are seeking employment in the marine industry following their June graduation. Students from The Landing School's boatbuilding, yacht design, marine systems and composites programs will be available to meet potential employers.

All marine businesses are invited to attend The Landing School job fair at no cost.

"We're getting feedback from the industry that business are starting to turn a corner and new work orders are coming in," said Barry Acker, president of The Landing School, in a statement. "With growing business comes demand for well-trained professionals graduating from our programs."

Marine companies can confirm their attendance at The Landing School job fair by downloading a participation form from the school's Web site and returning it completed before March 19.
