Company unveils boat tracking system

Sovereign Tracking Systems released its Marine Check management system, which automatically monitors boats and yachts at dealerships and marinas.

The system identifies in real time the movement of vessels at their location and provides this information instantly to financial institutions, insurance carriers and others.

"Marine Check is a powerful tool for financial institutions, insurance carriers, dealers and manufacturers being proactive regarding financial risk reduction," company founder Bill Robinson said in a statement.

Who is going to change the batteries to keep these units working? As long as inventory has been setting on dealers lots the batteries will surely go dead.

It is to bad that a few unethical dealers have ruined things for everybody.

Could be a positive, no more demo rides.

Not On Star exactly , but an inventory tracking system. Eventually there will be no more floor check visits to a dealership. A timed (daily??) quiz to every boat, motor and trailer in inventory will show it's location when in transit. When a product  has moved off a dealer's site and if the product is not paid for promptly the flooring company will call the dealer. There might also be tracking of stolen inventory which the owner, dealer, vendor, flooring company or customer, pays an additional fee for.

What next? Underwear?? How many wives or husbands would by that?

At  first glance,  this looks like another On Star product.
