Florida trades group hands out awards

The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County is recognizing three individuals and organizations as recipients of the group's Beacon of Light Awards for their support of the county's marine industry.

The Beacon of Light Awards are awarded in three categories: Marine Advocate of the Year was awarded to Palm Beach County commissioner Karen Marcus; Marine Project of the Year was awarded to Palm Harbor Marina and Member of the Year given to Raymond Graziotto of Loggerhead Club & Marina.

The awards will be presented March 24 at the Phillips Point Club, overlooking the 25th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show.
