Mercury Marine plants mark safety milestones

042110_mercurylogoEmployees at three Mercury Marine plants in Fond du Lac, Wis., recently recorded one million consecutive work hours registered without lost-time injuries.

The company celebrated the safety milestones earlier this month with recognition luncheons at the respective plants.

Plant 3 is Mercury's global distribution and customer service center with a safety record that dates back to May 20, 2008. Plant 4 produces gears and shafts for the company's outboard engines and its safety record goes back to June 6, 2007. Plant 36 is the high-performance manufacturing facility and its safety record dates back to Oct. 12, 2006.
