Ranger, Evinrude team up for test-drive events

Consumers interested in purchasing a new boat and engine package now have the option of test driving a Ranger/Evinrude rig at upcoming test ride events in key markets across the United States.

Ranger Boats and BRP's Evinrude outboard engines brand initially launched the test-drive program in 2004 and have expanded the program each year.

"The Evinrude/Ranger Test Ride program has been quite successful in bringing consumers closer to our products and allowing a first-hand experience at the performance this boat and engine combination provides," said Yves Leduc, vice president and general manager for BRP's North America Division. "Providing a test ride on a major purchase is key to closing the sale and teaming up with a drive boat such as Ranger delivers the ultimate demonstration for our engines."

Consumers who purchase within 60 days of the test drive will receive a free Ranger boat cover and a stainless-steel prop for a combined retail value of $1,600.00.

The complete schedule runs from May through September during key events in local markets and will be supported by a complete direct-mail and e-blast campaign.
