Sportfishing association elects officers

Six members of the American Sportfishing Association's board of directors were elected or re-elected to fill three regional seats and three at-large seats for terms beginning Oct. 1.

Regional seats went to Tom Fote, president, Jersey Coast Anglers Association, Toms River, N.J.; Kirk Immens, president, Sportco Marketing Inc., Crystal Lake, Ill.; and Gregg Wollner, executive vice president, Rapala, Minnetonka, Minn.

At-large seats went to Peter Foley, president, Boone Bait Company, Winter Park, Fla.; Scott Frnka, vice president of merchandising at Cabela's, Sidney, Neb.; and Dave Pfeiffer, president, Shimano American Corporation, Irvine, Calif.

"These members bring a wide-range of industry perspectives to the board of directors, which will well-serve the industry," ASA president and CEO Mike Nussman said in a statement. "I look forward to working with everyone and thank them for their commitment to the association and the sportfishing industry."
