America’s Cup winners ring Nasdaq opening bell

The BMW Oracle Racing team, winners of the 33rd America's Cup, was set to ring the opening bell this morning on the Nasdaq.

The Nasdaq opening-bell ceremony was to be simultaneously displayed on the Nasdaq MarketSite tower, Nasdaq 's iconic digital sign in the heart of Times Square and the Nasdaq MarketSite broadcast studio wall.

The visit to New York City is part of a tour of the East Coast. The team is scheduled to visit Newport, R.I., the home of the America's Cup for much of the 20th century, on Thursday.
