Fairline Boats names new CEO

U.K.-based Fairline Boats appointed Alistair Schofield its new CEO, effective Feb. 1.

With a background in a variety of business development, technical and operational roles in the industrial and marine sectors, Schofield has worked for Doncaster Group Ltd., a large private equity-backed industrial company, for the last 10 years. As managing director of its Turbocharger Components and Turbine Airfoil divisions he delivered substantial business improvement in both, Fairline noted.

“We are delighted to bring a CEO of Alistair’s caliber to the business and are confident that with his exceptional experience he will take Fairline through its next stage of development,” Fairline chairman Nick Sanders said in a statement.

Fairline’s board also has been strengthened by the appointment of Kevin Gaskell as a non-executive director. As managing director of Porsche UK and BMW UK he gained significant experience in developing premium brands and he is currently chairman of Courland Automotive International and Achilles Ltd.
