Tiffany Yachts rebuilds after 2010 fire

With a new building and a new travel lift, Tiffany Yachts is rebuilding its business following a 2010 fire that destroyed its main building.

Tiffany, a full-service repair yard and boatbuilder in Burgess, Va., acquired an 88-ton Marine Travelift that will allow the company to expand the size of vessels it can service.

Additionally, the company constructed a modern, efficient facility with three bays accessed by the travel lift. Each bay can accommodate vessels as large as 80 feet with a maximum height of 35 feet.

Tiffany Yachts also has a boathouse with a working slip that can accommodate vessels to 80 feet with a 30-foot beam.

“The fire was a quite a blow to the family business, but now with the new building and a larger travel lift we can accommodate bigger projects and work more efficiently,” president Randy Cockrell said in a statement.
