Kadey-Krogen Yachts its hosting its annual spring open house March 3 at its headquarters in Stuart, Fla.

The event is for people who are starting to search for a cruising powerboat, as well as cruisers who are interested in becoming more familiar with Kadey-Krogen’s range of trawler yachts.

“The open house follows the first boat shows of 2012 and is an ideal opportunity for interested customers to spend more time on board without the crowds of a boat show,” the company said in a statement.

Kadey-Krogen expects to feature a range of its models, including its newest, the Krogen 52-footer, at the open house. Kadey-Krogen builds trawler yachts from 39 to 58 feet and operates a full-service brokerage.

The 2012 American Boating Congress is set for April 24-25 in Washington, D.C.

Organized by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the event provides an opportunity for those in the marine industry to learn about the issues that affect their business and give recreational boating a strong presence on Capitol Hill.

In addition to a full lineup of speakers and sessions, the event includes time on Capitol Hill meeting with lawmakers and their staff to discuss issues of importance to the industry.
