J&D Acquisitions adds brands to Chinese sales deal

J&D Acquisitions announced that the Carver Yachts, Larson, Striper and Triumph Boat companies are being added to the recently announced joint venture agreement with Poly Technologies Inc. and Marquis Yachts LLC.

“I’m extremely pleased that we are now able to include all J&D boat brands into our recently announced JV agreement with the prestigious Poly Technologies Inc. company of China,” company chairman Irwin Jacobs said in a statement.

“Similar to the recent Poly Marquis Yacht Co. JV, the additional boat brands of Carver Yachts, Larson, Striper and Triumph will be on display at our new distribution center and offices at the beautiful Serenity Marina and Yacht Club in Sanya, China,” he added.

J&D Acquisitions is the parent company of the Larson, Striper, Triumph, Marquis and Carver boat companies and is a partnership owned by Jacobs and John Paul DeJoria.

Poly Technologies, along with its subsidiaries, is the exclusive distributor in China for Ferrari and Maserati automobiles and it retains one of Mercedes-Benz’s largest dealerships in China, located in Beijing.

With so many of the U.S. builders being bought by the chinese, those of us in the repair business can look forward to lots of work in the future. If you've ever worked on chinese floating junk you'll know what I mean!
