Sea Ray cuts jobs at Tennessee plant

Sea Ray Boats recently cut 24 jobs at its Knoxville manufacturing plant at Forks of the River Industrial Park, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reported.

The layoffs were effective Jan. 12, according to the state announcement.

“There was a recent reduction at our Knoxville manufacturing facility due to the normal ebb and flow of the marine business as we continue to try to closely match production levels with current and anticipated activity and demand in various segments of the boat market,” Brunswick spokesman Dan Kubera said in an e-mail to Soundings Trade Only.

The Hope and Change just keeps on coming-unfortunately none of the upcoming choices look all that promising.
