Navico forms subsidiary in Shanghai

Navico, a leader in recreational marine electronics and parent company of the Lowrance, Simrad Yachting and B&G brands, established a wholly owned subsidiary, Navico Shanghai.

The new trading company recruited Michael Huang as its business development manager to run the day-to-day operations of the China office. The Shanghai location positions the company near its growing customer base in this important market.

“We are proud to have built many important relationships with our Chinese channel partners and recognize their importance in our future growth within the region,” CEO Leif Ottosson said in a statement. “By establishing a local trading company we are reinforcing our commitment to the region and providing a strong base to support our customers with our Advantage Service program.”
