VIDEO: Interview with Suzuki’s Larry Vandiver

Following Chris Landry's report Wednesday on Suzuki Marine's introduction of five new 4-stroke outboards from 15- to 250 hp at a press event at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., he talked with Suzuki Marine senior director of sales and marketing Larry Vandiver in a brief video interview.

Vandiver put the introduction of the engines in perspective, calling it the most significant product debut for Suzuki since it launched the DF300 in 2006. He also highlighted the strengths of a few of the new engines, including the fuel-injected DF15A and DF20A and the DF250AP with counter-rotation capability.

Landry also interviewed David Greenwood, product planning manager for Suzuki. Greenwood — the technical guru for Suzuki — explained the differences of these second-generation 4-strokes from their predecessors.
