Connecticut trade group wants members at IBEX

The Connecticut Marine Trades Association is urging its dealer members to attend the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference, which runs Oct. 2-4.

National Marine Manufacturers Association president Thom Dammrich points out that there are seminar tracks at IBEX for builders, dealers, marina and boatyard personnel, and vendors, CMTA president Grant Westerson said in a letter to dealers.

“Some of the Trade Only seminars are titled Retail Boat Loan Financing; Building Customer Loyalty; New Boat Buyers: What are their issues?; Inventory Control; and New Media: How Can it Help Me Sell more Boats?” Westerson said in the emailed letter. “These are not construction and builder topics; they are selling and marketing topics and sure to be a great help as the economy starts to regain some momentum.”
