Nautical Channel signs deal with Dish Network

Nautical Channel, an Italian-based channel dedicated to nautical sports and lifestyle, is being launched in the United States on the Dish Network.

Sailing, powerboat racing, surfing and rowing are broadcast to a worldwide audience with international commentary on the network, according to a statement.

The Nautical Channel reaches about 15 million subscribers in more than 30 countries on satellite, cable, ADSL pay TV and mobile.

Popular programming includes America’s Cup World Series, KYRS Ocean Race, Kiel Sailing Week, Palma Vela and Les Voiles de St. Tropez.

Nautical Channel is currently available on channel 9797 in Dish’s International Basic and International Sports Pack for $10 a month or Dish’s International World Pack for $5 a month.
