RBFF honored with two Web awards

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation's Take Me Fishing campaign website, TakeMeFishing.org, and its mobile site were awarded top honors among the nearly 2,000 entries in the Web Marketing Association’s 16th annual WebAwards competition.

TakeMeFishing.org was awarded Best Leisure Website and Best General Interest Website and its mobile version was awarded Best Mobile Website, the company announced Monday.

“Representing the entire boating and fishing industry we strive to provide a one-stop shop for those looking to enjoy a day on the water,” RBFF president and CEO Frank Peterson said in a statement. “We do a lot of research to ensure the Take Me Fishing resources are relevant, easy to navigate and allow visitors instant access to boating and fishing how-to and where-to information when they need it and in a form that best suits them.”

The Take Me Fishing website and its digital properties drew nearly 7 million visits last year.

Additionally, the RBFF said its award-winning Take Me Fishing Boat Ramp App has been downloaded more than 83,000 times and conducted more than 1.3 million queries.
