Ameritex Fabric Systems adds to product line

Bradenton, Fla.-based Ameritex Fabric Systems is adding to its line of pontoon Bimini tops and enclosures to coincide with the opening of a satellite facility in northern Indiana, the hub of pontoon boatbuilding activity.

“[The] new Indiana facility will greatly enhance our ability to service the needs of the multitude of pontoon boat builders in that region with the excellence and efficiency for which Ameritex is known,” Ameritex Fabric Systems president Don Zirkelbach said in a statement.

“We are relocating a couple of highly experienced and skilled fabric engineers to operate our Indiana satellite facility,” he added.

“Today’s pontoon boats are rapidly evolving and becoming more stylish than ever,” said Mike Oathout, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Made Systems, Ameritex’s parent company. “Our design experience is a perfect match for the direction this market segment is going.”

Ameritex Fabric Systems is displaying pontoon enclosures and other fabric designs this week at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference in Louisville, Ky.
