MarineMax Vacations marks one-year anniversary

MarineMax is marking the one-year anniversary of its MarineMax Vacations yacht charter division.

The division has been delivering charter vacations in the British Virgin Islands from its base in Tortola since it was introduced in October 2011. MarineMax Vacations has added sailboats and power catamarans to the fleet and the company said a custom 46 power cat will be introduced in January.

A yacht ownership program was added to the division in the last year. Sail- and power yachts are available in the ownership program.

“This has been a very exciting and successful first year for our charter division,” Lex Raas, president of marketing, charter and special initiatives, said in a statement.

“Our focus has been on delivering the best service and boats at a great value, which has included innovative thinking of new designs and luxury upgrades. Looking forward, there are extremely exciting times ahead for MarineMax Vacations as we continue to integrate innovative custom designs to our fleet with the 46 power catamaran, which will further raise the standards in charter yachts.”
