The Newport Exhibition Group said the 20th annual Providence Boat Show will take place Jan. 18-20 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence.

Displaying one of the largest selections of boats and accessories during the winter show season in New England, the Providence show will host more than 150 booths with an assortment of boats of every type, style and use, from dinghies to cruisers, as well as a wide variety of accessories and services for boaters, the company said.

Visitors will have opportunities to attend sportfishing seminars hosted by Offshore Pursuits and boating safety lectures.

Show hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Jan. 18 and 19, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 20. Online tickets are available through the boat show’s website. Admission is $8 for advance-purchase tickets and $10 on show days. A two-day ticket is available for $12 in advance or $15 at the start of the show. Military personnel and members of the marine trade receive half-price tickets on any day of the show.

The Dade County Nautical Flea Market and Boat Sale will be held Dec. 1-2 at the Miami Expo.

Promoter Larry Burdgick says the event is the largest of its type in Miami-Dade and is set in one of the biggest fishing and boating communities in the United States.

One of the highlights this year is an auction Dec. 2 where more than 100 boat repossessions, short sales, dealer trades and private liquidations will be up for sale. The auction boat preview will be held all day Dec. 1, and the sale starts at 11 a.m. Dec. 2.

As many as 10,000 boat enthusiasts have attended previous editions of the two-day event.
