Greenline hybrid wins AIM award

Greenline's 40 Hybrid received an Active Interest Media Editor’s Choice Award.

The builder was recognized Oct. 26 at a gala at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Greenline said that with the AIM Green Award the European Greenline was once again recognized as a green philosophy leader in the boating world. It has also received honors that include International Boat of the Year and environmental and design awards.

Greenline, which touts itself as the world’s first serial-produced hybrid yacht, uses an innovation called Superdisplacement, a hybrid propulsion system and build technology. The environmentally friendly concept has enabled the builder to penetrate new markets. The company said it operates in more than 30 countries.

Greenline will unveil the 46 Hybrid on Jan. 19-27 at Boot Düsseldorf in Germany.

AIM’s Marine Group publishes titles that include PassageMaker, Power & Motoryacht, Sail, Soundings, Soundings Trade Only and Yachts International.
