MasterCraft names new CFO

MasterCraft recently appointed industry veteran Tim Oxley as its new chief financial officer.

Oxley, who has more than 25 years of accounting experience, had been vice president of business performance at the Tennessee-based boatbuilder.

“I am more excited about the future of MasterCraft than at any time since I started over 6 years ago,” Oxley said in a statement. “While the last few years have certainly been a challenge, we have taken the lessons learned from the Great Recession and charted a course that we believe is very solid and driven. Add in that we have top-grade dealers, combined with consistent product introductions, and we have in place what we believe are the critical factors for success.”

Oxley arrived at MasterCraft with a robust resume, primarily in the marine industry. Initially he served in financial roles at Arthur Andersen, Pilot Corp. and Control Technology Inc. However, in 1990 he moved to Sea Ray as its director of budgeting and has not left the marine industry since.

Before crossing over to MasterCraft, Oxley served as chief financial officer of Baja and Sea Ray.

“I have had the privilege to work with Tim for a number of years and have always been impressed with his unwavering work ethic and strong business acumen,” MasterCraft president and CEO Terry McNew said in a statement. “As such, I am confident he will bring a seasoned and deep comprehension to our finance department that will solidify our legacy as industry business leaders.”

I agree with Doug, one of the best CFO's I have had the privilege to work with. A true representation of class, leadership, and what you would want from someone handling your finances.
