Seattle show adds wine-tasting event

The Seattle Boat Show will feature Washington wines at Uncorked, a new opening-night event at CenturyLink Field on Jan. 25.

For the first time in the show’s 66-year history, show goers will be able to sniff, swirl and sip their way through the show, tasting a variety of award-winning Washington wines while shopping for a boat or wandering the 3 acres of accessories exhibits at the Uncorked event.

The tasting runs concurrent with Splash, an aerial acrobatic show.

The Seattle Boat Show opens at 11 a.m. and Uncorked, presented by Falvey Yacht Insurance, runs from 5 to 9 p.m.

Nine tasting stations will be set up throughout the indoor location at CenturyLink Field, offering wines from 10 Washington wineries. They include Apex, Canoe Ridge, House Wine, Sagelands, Sawtooth, Waterbrook and Willow Crest.

Winery representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the wines. For those looking to pair the wines with food, Seattle’s Metropolitan Grill will be making a special appearance at the event. The Met will be serving food available for purchase in the Boater’s Lounge on the mezzanine level.
