AMI elects 2013 board members

The Association of Marina Industries recently elected 2013 officers and directors at its annual International Marina & Boatyard Conference in Fort Lauderdale.

Gary Groenewold, of Westrec Marinas, was reappointed chairman; Jeff Rose, of Marinas International, was reappointed vice president; Mick Webber, of HydroHoist Marine Group, was appointed secretary; and Brad Gross, of OC Dana Point Harbor, was reappointed treasurer.

New directors voted to the board were Joe Riley, of Windmill Marina Association, representing the Midwest Marina Association; Austin Cameron, of VIP Marina on Lake Travis, representing the Marina Association of Texas; John Chiazza, of Wells Fargo Insurance; and Ray Fernandez, of Bridge Marina Inc., representing the New Jersey Marine Trades Association. The board bid farewell to Kevin Lussier, of Boston Yacht Haven; and Mark Yearn, of Norman Spencer Marine.

The new officers will join the existing board: Jim Frye, of Westrec Marinas; Keith Knowlton, of Riverside Yacht Club; Ken MacDonald, of Bay Port Yachting Center; Chris Petty, of Suntex Waterfront Management; Steve Ryder, of Bellingham Marine; John Schoppman, of Forever Resorts; Randy Short, of Almar Marinas; T. Clark Smith III, of Norman Spencer Marine; and Ronaldo Souza, of Westrec Marinas.
