smithThe rain gods opened a brief window on Friday night to allow a send-off ceremony and photo opp at Legendary Marine in Destin, Fla. Although all of the riders attended, only five of the nine bikes scheduled for the first leg scooted in for the launch ceremony, with the others rolling up at Pensacola Harley Davidson the next morning.

New England Boatworks agrees to pay EPA fine

The Environmental Protection Agency announced this week that New England Boatworks will pay a $31,500 penalty and take steps to reduce its emissions of volatile organic compounds from paints and thinners used at its Portsmouth, R.I., facility under a settlement with the agency to resolve allegations of Clean Air Act violations.

BRP exit opens up burgeoning jetboat market

Dealer conference plans 2013 pre-event workshops

The Marine Dealer Conference & Expo, which has seen a 173 percent increase from the number of registrants prior to May 1, 2012, announced it will feature an all-new series of pre-conference workshops at its 2013 event, set for Nov. 17-20 in Orlando, Fla.
