The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released an electronic version of its Compliance Guide for the Right Whale Ship Strike Reduction Rule.

The guide summarizes the details of the rule restricting ship speeds to 10 knots or less in areas and seasons along the East Coast where North Atlantic right whales are known to populate.
