Cobalt Boats, of Neodesha, Kan., builds sterndrive powerboats ranging from 20 to 40 feet in runabout bowriders, cuddy cabins and cruisers. The company is still family-owned and led by its founder, Paxson St. Clair.

Cobalt dealer in California has new owner

San Ramon Boat Center, a longtime Cobalt Boats dealership with stores in Rocklin, Calif., and Lake Tahoe, recently announced the sale of the business to Scott Vanderbeek.

Pack St. Clair launched Cobalt Boats in 1968 in an unlikely locale: landlocked rural Kansas.

Cobalt Boats donates to military charity

Cobalt Boats will donate proceeds from flagpole sales to Folds of Honor in 2015 to support the group’s mission of providing educational scholarships and assistance to the families of those killed or disabled in service.
