Sea Ray builds more than 35 models of fiberglass boats, including sportboats from 19 to 30 feet, sport cruisers from 24 to 37 feet, sport yachts from 41 to 51 feet and yachts from 52 to 61 feet. Founded in Detroit in 1959 by C.N. Ray, the company was bought by Brunswick Boat Group in 1986 and is based in Knoxville, Tenn. With nine manufacturing facilities around the world, the company has about 450 dealers on six of the world’s seven continents.

FLIBS 2012: Sea Ray offers jobs to displaced workers

All of the workers at the plant that Sea Ray Boats recently announced will close have been offered jobs at other plants.
