BRP said it is holding an Evinrude E-TEC fall sales event that runs from Sept. 12-Dec. 4 and allows buyers of a new Portable or E-TEC engine to receive a five-year, factory-backed warranty.
Evinrude, of Sturtevant, Wis., is a maker of outboard engines and one of the brands of Valcourt, Quebec-based Bombardier Recreational Products.
BRP reported revenue of $856 million in Canadian dollars (about $656 million U.S.) for its second quarter, a 5 percent increase from the same period last year.
Bombardier Recreational Products unveiled four new Evinrude E-TEC G2 models this weekend — the G2 150, 150 H.O. (High Output), 175 and 200. They join the high-horsepower G2 models introduced in 2014 that range from the 200 H.O. to 300 hp.
This weekend Evinrude in Milwaukee will host its entire dealer and OEM network and unveil its latest Evinrude E-TEC G2 innovations. Among those attending are 15 new dealers and two new OEMs from the last quarter.
BRP’s Evinrude brand dedicated a memorial to the legacy of Ole Evinrude at a ceremony on Thursday in Wisconsin.
BRP said its Evinrude brand donated outboard engines to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences for use on two research vessels.
Wisconsin-based BRP said its on-site wastewater treatment system, used for many of its production processes, was recently recognized with an award from Racine Wastewater Utility for excellence in facility wastewater management.
BRP announced that its Evinrude E-TEC spring sales event will run through June 25.
BRP signed 20 new Evinrude dealers in the final quarter of fiscal 2016, bringing the total of new North American dealers for the year to 72.
Evinrude added 31 new boat manufacturer partners in North America since the introduction of its E-TEC G2 high-horsepower outboards in June 2014, according to parent company Bombardier Recreational Products.
