The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company recently attended the International Council of Marine Industry Associations/International Federation of Boat Show Organizers Conference to promote the 2019 Abu Dhabi International Boat Show.

The show is first from the United Arab Emirates to join IFBSO. The 2019 conference took place in Split, Croatia in June and in a statement, ADNEC’s said its participation is a “strategic move in its efforts to raise the global profile” of the Abu Dhabi show that will take place October 16-19.

“We are pleased to have attended our second ICOMIA/IFBSO Conference — the only platform that brings together international boat show organizers under one roof,” Alex Nicholl, Abu Dhabi Boat Show director, said in the statement. “The three-day event offered an ideal opportunity for us to learn from some of the most successful industry players in the world and identify the best practices relevant to Abu Dhabi and the wider MENA region. The highlight was the ADIBS was the speed networking workshop that enable us to meet boat show organizers and representative of maritime industry associations from across the globe.”

Bengt Wallin, senior board member of IFBSO, added, “IFBSO is delighted to welcome ADIBS as a candidate member. We congratulate ADIBS on the achievement and wish the team success for the upcoming edition of the show, as well as the many fruitful years as an IFBSO member.”
