The United States Powerboat Show opens at 10 a.m. Thursday in Annapolis, Md.

Hundreds of new and premiering powerboats will be on display and about 40,000 visitors are expected to attend during the show's four day run through Sunday.

A new event this year, the Annapolis Brokerage Show will display 60 used powerboats offered for immediate sale in St. Mary's Cove.

The show will feature seminars by Chesapeake Bay Magazine, boats and accessories, antique and classic boats, a center console fishing collection and a grand-prize drawing for a seven-day, six-night charter in the British Virgin Islands provided by MarineMax Vacation and airfare, courtesy of the BVI Tourism Board.
