Annapolis shows debut mobile app

Annapolis Boat Shows released a mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android that not only allows customers to quickly and easily purchase tickets for the United States Powerboat Show, Annapolis Brokerage Show and the United States Sailboat Show, but also provides boat show users with up-to-date information.

Once downloaded, the app will allow users to review show schedules, familiarize themselves with the growing list of power and sail boats expected at each show, explore exhibitor lists, review products available for sale and see all three show layouts. The app also provides access to information such as local accommodations, transportation to and from the shows and the most current parking information.

Tickets for interactive workshops called “Take the Wheel Workshops” — on-boat demonstrations and boat rides designed especially for novice boaters — can be purchased with the mobile app. VIP parking tickets for the Preview Day at the U.S. Powerboat Show are also available through the app.

“The app is perfect for both kinds of people — those who like to map out their itinerary in advance as well as the more spontaneous types who purchase tickets on the bus from the parking lot to the show," Annapolis Boat Shows general manager Paul Jacobs said in a statement. "By using the mobile app, boat-show goers can avoid waiting in long lines to purchase tickets.”

The U.S. Powerboat Show and Annapolis Brokerage Show run from Oct. 3-6 and the U.S. Sailboat Show runs from Oct. 10-14.
