Bank signs on as Bacardi sailing sponsor

EFG International, a leading international private bank, and Studiomilano, the promoter of Bacardi Sailing Week events, signed a two-year agreement that brings EFG on board as the new presenting sponsor of Bacardi Miami Sailing Week (March 7-12, 2011) and Bacardi Newport Sailing Week (June 23-26, 2011).

EFG has an extensive range of sports-related sponsorships and supports other regattas and sailing campaigns/classes in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Earlier this year, EFG joined forces with the Viper 640 Class Association to create the EFG Bank Pan-American Championships, which begin with Bacardi Miami Sailing Week.

"The global nature of sailing perfectly complements EFG, which has an international outlook and serves clients worldwide," said Keith Gapp, head of strategic marketing and communication at EFG. "Sailing is an important part of our brand-building efforts, but it also enables us to build business relationships and support the sailing community."
